ProfilePROFILE
Broad leaves overlap radially with deeply wavy margins, the centre held in a star. The surface is covered in silvery-white trichomes running in lengthwise stripes, through which a pale purple-brown ground shows. The marginal teeth are large and hooked, white to pale brown, and widely spaced. A species grown here as a seedling.
In specimen records the distribution centres on Minas Gerais. A 2024 gathering in Bahia, backed by a specimen, is kept as a new record needing confirmation (see “Species Distributions”).
