Dyckia stolonifera

DataDATA

ProfilePROFILE

Broad leaves open flat and radially into a rosette that hugs the ground. The foliage is a dark purple-brown, almost black, with green and a reddish blush bleeding in toward the centre, and white trichomes scattered as specks. The marginal teeth are white and small, showing as dots against the dark leaves. The darkness of the leaves stands out, and the heavy, sunken colour in good light is the impression this species leaves.

Records rest on a single gathering in Mato Grosso do Sul and are extremely few (see “Species Distributions”).

black / dark purple
