ProfilePROFILE
The leaves open radially, the new growth at the centre tightly furled in a spiral. The leaf ground is a vivid green, with white trichomes left in patches, the whiteness most noticeable on the outer leaves. The marginal teeth are very large and white, recurving like hooks and widely spaced. The contrast between the green leaves and the large white teeth defines this species.
Records of the distribution are confined to the type locality, Milagres, Bahia (see “Species Distributions”).
