ProfilePROFILE
Broad leaves open radially into a rosette whose centre closes bright and tight. The central leaves are a vivid yellow-green with almost no trichomes, while the outer leaves take on a purple-tinged grey-green. The marginal teeth are large and sharp, standing at spaced intervals. The contrast in leaf colour between inside and outside is clearly divided.
Specimen records gather in northern Mato Grosso do Sul. A single specimen record in Goiás is kept apart as needing confirmation (see “Species Distributions”).
