ProfilePROFILE
Very slender leaves extend radially from the centre, forming a light, grass-like rosette. The leaf surface is a vivid green, with almost no visible trichomes. The marginal teeth are small and sparse, sitting quietly along the narrow leaves. The centre stays tightly closed, the leaves opening straight outward from it.
Specimen records concentrate in Rio Grande do Sul. POWO’s 2025 revision widens the range considerably, but the specimen evidence disagrees (see “Species Distributions”).
