ProfilePROFILE
Broad leaves open in a star into a flat rosette. White trichomes lie in lengthwise stripes over the grey-green ground, giving the whole plant a silvery cast. Small white teeth line the margins in a fine, saw-like row. Bred by Paradon Sela and registered in the Bromeliad Cultivar Register as BCR #15071.
The BCR record notes that ‘Metal Stripes’ arose as a vegetative sport off ‘Silver Sheen Asia’.
